If you have misshapen, chipped, or severely discolored teeth, it can affect the look of your smile and impact your self-confidence.
Dr. Bruce J. Wilderman is a leading provider of porcelain veneers, a long-lasting solution that can hide these imperfections.
Why do patients throughout Doylestown and Bucks County undergo veneers treatment by Dr. Wilderman in Philadelphia, PA?
Enhance Your Smile with Art and Dentistry
Simple and Effective
Veneers cover the entire front surface of your tooth to improve shape, size, and color all at once. In fact, just one veneer can give your smile instant symmetry that complements your entire appearance.
Extensive PlanningDr. Wilderman dedicates extensive consultation time and multiple appointments so that your veneers meet your goals. Our attention to detail is so apparent that patients often ask to keep their temporary veneers.
Patient satisfaction is our priority. We create detailed wax-ups to make sure that your treatment meets your expectations. You will play an active role in creating a smile that you can feel proud to share.
Feeling Self-Conscious about Your Smile Is a Common Issue
Achieve a Straight, Symmetrical Smile without Braces
For patients with minor alignment issues, Dr. Wilderman can use dental veneers to create a more uniform smile. This treatment can conceal gaps, adjust the angle of crooked teeth, and allow you to achieve the effects of braces without the time investment.
However, it is important to keep in mind that porcelain veneers do not improve your bite. If you have more significant alignment problems, you may be better served with orthodontics. Dr. Wilderman can determine the best solution for your needs during a consultation at his Philadelphia office serving Doylestown and greater Bucks County.
Three Factors We Consider before Placing Veneers
Strength of Enamel
When placing dental veneers, Dr. Wilderman has to remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth. A thin layer of remaining enamel serves as the bonding surface. If you have weakened enamel, you may not qualify for veneers.
Grinding or Clenching
Bruxism, or teeth grinding, can put excessive stress on porcelain restorations and cause damage. Depending on the severity of your bruxism, Dr. Wilderman may recommend investing in an oral appliance to protect your veneers. In some cases, we may prescribe a treatment for bruxism to improve the issue before moving forward with veneers.
Overall Oral Health
Before undergoing any cosmetic treatment, it is important to ensure your smile is healthy. Tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health concerns can compromise the success of your dental veneers. Dr. Wilderman can treat any health concerns you have prior to placing your porcelain veneers.
The Importance of a Beautiful Smile
Your smile can make a lasting and positive first impression. In a study conducted by Kelton Global and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, 48 percent of adults surveyed believed that a smile was the most memorable part about someone they had just met.
As our patient, you can expect that your veneers will be carefully crafted to meet your goals, complement your appearance, and help you feel confident in the way you look.

We Use Advanced Technology to Plan Your Treatment
During your initial cosmetic consultation, our team will take digital photographs of your smile. Dr. Wilderman can display your photos on a 42-inch monitor and discuss your goals and preferences with you.
We can then perform digital manipulation of these images to help you visualize your results and make an informed decision about treatment. These photographs, alongside a custom wax-up, allow us to precisely design your custom veneers for stunning results.
Our Treatment Process
The process for receiving porcelain veneers can span several appointments. In general, you can expect four to five appointments from start to finish. Dr. Wilderman and his team are available to answer your questions throughout every stage of the process. Communication is the key to a successful porcelain veneers treatment, and we want to make sure you feel informed and comfortable on your journey to a beautiful new smile.
We dedicate an average of 60 to 90 minutes of consultation time to our cosmetic dentistry patients. Be honest about your expectations and ask any questions you wish. During this time, Dr. Wilderman will also assess your oral health to ensure that you have no issues such as cavities or gum disease.
In order to place a veneer, Dr. Wilderman will need to remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your tooth. In general, the amount of enamel removed is equal to the thickness of an eggshell. This allows your veneer to lay flush with surrounding teeth for a completely natural-looking appearance.
We will take an impression of your prepared tooth and surrounding teeth. You will be fitted with temporary veneers to wear until your permanent veneers are ready.
A highly trained ceramic artist at our trusted partner lab will create your custom porcelain veneers over the next few weeks based on the impressions that Dr. Wilderman provides.
Assessing the Fit
You will try on your veneers so you can provide feedback regarding the fit and appearance. If needed, the veneers can be altered to your satisfaction.
Once you are pleased with your veneers, Dr. Wilderman will carefully bond them in place using a special dental cement.
There Is Little to No Recovery Time Associated with Dental Veneers
Once your veneers are in place, you can immediately enjoy the benefits. Our patients typically return to their normal activities with no recovery time. However, you may experience some dental sensitivity for a few days after your teeth have been altered. Dr. Wilderman can recommend methods for minimizing discomfort until your permanent veneers are placed.
Our Patient Results
Veneers Can Provide Life-Changing Benefits
Veneers provided by a cosmetic dentist can help you experience a thrilling new level of self-confidence that can have a positive effect on your personal and professional life.
Best of all, veneers can give you many years of benefits. In fact, by taking excellent care of your smile, your veneers can last 15 years or more. Avoid chewing especially hard or sticky foods with your veneer, and be sure to brush twice and floss at least once each day. You should also attend six-month checkups to ensure that the foundation of your smile remains healthy.
"He gave me the confidence to go ahead and make the commitment."
There Are Several Factors That Impact Porcelain Veneers Cost
Number of Veneers
Generally speaking, the more veneers your enhancement requires, the more you can expect to pay.
Dr. Wilderman partners with a trusted dental lab to create lifelike veneers. The different materials available at our lab carry different prices and can affect your overall treatment cost.
If you want to address a variety of cosmetic concerns, Dr. Wilderman can combine your porcelain veneers treatment with others. This unique treatment plan will involve a higher cost.
Financing Can Help Make Veneers Affordable
At Artistic Expressions Dentistry, we believe every patient should feel confident and happy with the appearance of their smile. For many, porcelain veneers can transform their appearance and raise their self-esteem.
To make this treatment a fit for your budget, we accept most major credit cards and allow patients to finance their treatment through CareCredit®.
Feeling Confident about Your Appearance Can Enhance Every Aspect of Your Life
As soon as your dental veneers are in place, you can enjoy a dramatically enhanced smile.
When you are happy with the look of your smile, it is easier to feel comfortable with your overall appearance.
Improved Quality of Life
Boosting your self-esteem can result in an overall more positive outlook on life.
"Dr Wilderman listened to my concerns...The end result was that my two veneers matched my other teeth identically. They look awesome, and I can’t stop smiling! My only regret is that I waited so long to make the first appointment." Melanie W.
The Right Treatment for You Depends on a Variety of Factors
When considering veneers versus one of the alternatives, it is important to discuss all of your options with Dr. Wilderman. Your goals, budget, and preferences will play a significant role in determining which treatment is best for you. In addition, there may be some candidacy requirements that affect your eligibility for certain procedures.
Generally, if you want to see dramatic results quickly, porcelain veneers are the best option. While dental bonding and teeth whitening are more affordable, do not have the same capabilities or last as long as veneers. Both Invisalign and orthodontics are a great option for straightening your teeth, but take much longer.
The best way to determine the right option for you is to schedule a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Wilderman at his Philadelphia practice serving Doylestown and greater Bucks County.
"I just have pretty, white teeth now and that was the goal."
"Dr. Wilderman helped me throughout my mouth reconstruction. He worked diligently with my orthodontist on the best plan throughout my treatment, during my tooth extractions, gum surgeries and after my braces were removed.
The final veneering of 25 teeth went very smoothly. He was caring and very particular about perfect fit and choice of color.
The whole staff took special care of me. The warm blankets during the winter and the extra pillow support under my neck was perfect for my issues with my neck and back. The staff completed all the insurance paperwork and stayed on top of the reimbursements.
I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best outcome including caring and compassionate support through the process. I continue to get compliments every week!
Thanks so much for the greatest smile of my life!"
