With the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, many individuals are wondering if it is safe to visit our team of expert dentists at Artistic Expressions Dentistry for regular checkups.

We are committed to staying safe while providing excellent dental care. Here is what you should know about visiting your dentist during COVID. The team at Artistic Expressions Dentistry is proud to provide safe dental care to people in and around Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Doylestown, PA.

COVID-19 Symptoms and Precautions

The best way to prevent infection of other patients is by staying home if you:

  • Are showing symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have been in contact someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Have been in a public enclosed space for an extended period of time (such as traveling by plane)

COVID-19 Screenings

Before confirming an appointment, we will ask if you are showing any signs of COVID-19. We will also take your temperature when you come in to make sure you do not have a fever.

Artistic Expressions Dentistry has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to COVID. Once again, please stay home if you are any showing signs of COVID-19, and be sure to have any serious symptoms checked by a medical professional.

Face Masks Are Always On

Masks have been proven to effectively slow the spread of COVID-19. Our dental care team takes our mask-wearing responsibilities seriously, and keep them on as much as possible.

We ask that patients always keep their masks on while they wait for treatment to begin. Once we have started dental work, you may keep your mask off. At the end of the procedure, we ask that you keep your mask on for the remainder of your time in the office.

Ventilation

Proper ventilation is one of the best ways to guard against the spread of COVID. Stagnant air lets the virus linger, potentially causing infection, which is why we leave windows open with fans on. This helps ventilate the office space.

Without proper ventilation, we would not feel safe practicing dentistry during COVID. You can rest assured that at Artistic Expressions Dentistry, we take the safety of our patients and staff seriously.

Telephone and Video Screenings

These days, so many of our interactions are carried out remotely. Thanks to video calls, we can perform consultations and prescreenings through video conferencing software. If this is unavailable to you or if you would prefer to avoid the use of video calls, we also offer phone consultations.

Feel free to chat with one of staff members at Artistic Expressions Dentistry to find out if a video or telephone screening works for you.

Disinfection

Our facilities are wiped down daily with antibacterial cleaning agents. We offer hand sanitizer as well, and recommend using it before and after coming in.

While infection due to surface contact has been shown to be less prevalent than we thought, it is still better to take these kinds of precautions. Protect yourself and your loved ones by taking all aspects of hygiene and sanitation seriously.
